The Lanús team achieved a victory as a visitor against Melgar from Peru with a score of 1-0 in the fourth match of Group G of the Copa Sudamericana. The match took place at the Monumental Stadium of the National University of San Agustín. The goal that defined the match was scored by Agustín Medina in the 39th minute of the second half.

During the game, a significant number of inaccuracies were observed in ball control and passes, resulting in little activity for the goalkeepers Jorge Cabezudo from Melgar and Nahuel Losada from Lanús, who had minimal intervention.

With this victory, Lanús positioned itself as the leader of Group G with 8 points, resulting from two wins and two draws in the Copa Sudamericana. Their next commitment will be against Vasco da Gama from Brazil on Tuesday, May 13, after facing Boca on Saturday in the Round of 16 of the Apertura Tournament.

As for Melgar, the Peruvian team was in third place with 4 points in the group and will have to face an away match against Puerto Cabello in Venezuela next Tuesday as part of the international tournament.

The match was marked by a lack of dangerous chances generated by both teams in a contest that left much to be desired in terms of performance and spectacle.
