Athletics secured a silver medal at the Bolivarian Sports Games, which are being held in the cities of Ayacucho and Lima, Peru.
The medal was won by athlete Crystal Cuervo, who placed second in the 400 meters final at these sporting events.
Cuervo's time was 53.96 seconds, securing her second place in this track and field discipline.
The gold medal went to the Colombian Lina Licona with a time of 51.83 seconds, while the bronze was awarded to the Ecuadorian Genesis Cañola with a time of 54.04 seconds.
On Wednesday, Olympic boxing also saw action.
On one hand, Eduardo Beckford earned the bronze medal in the 70-kilogram category after losing his semi-final to the Ecuadorian José Rodríguez by a 4-0 decision.
Meanwhile, Cristofer Filós advanced to the final in the 60-kilogram category, defeating the Peruvian Francesco Odria in the semi-finals by RSC (Referee Stops Contest).
Filós will compete for the gold medal in his category today against the Colombian Yilmar González.
