The Peruvian team Melgar defeated Colombia's Deportes Tolima 1-0 in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores qualifying round. The match took place at the Estadio de la Universidad Nacional San Agustín in Arequipa. The only goal was scored by Argentine Cristian Bordacahar in the 41st minute of the second half, securing the qualification of the Peruvian team.

With this score, Melgar won 2-0 on aggregate, as they also prevailed by the narrowest margin in the first leg. Now, the team managed by Walter Ribonetto will face Cerro Porteño in the third phase of the preliminary rounds of the Copa Libertadores.

The match was marked by parity between both teams, with neither managing to get ahead on the scoreboard until Cristian Bordacahar secured the victory for Melgar through a penalty. The foul that led to the penalty occurred when defender Anderson Angulo held the Peruvian player inside the area, despite previous warnings from the referee about such infractions in the game.
